I have used SAP Ariba Procurement in my organization to upload monthly internet bills and get the reimbursement for the same. The scope is vast for employees at multiple levels for different type of uploads for bill reimbursement from our organization. The process is very smooth and easy for emplyee at each level to access and upload their bills easily. SAP has made the process very simple, so that verification of the bills also happen fast.
  • Simple and easy to understand UI where no extra training is required
  • Very fast processing compared to any other software
  • Very effective workflow for faster end to end results
  • Has wonderful features which are easily understandable
  • SAP can include a help page or a simple guide page for certain new features that are added in latest updates.
  • We get very little information about new SAP products which are in the market.A little more information about new products through an additional page in old products or an latest news/updates page would be wonderful.
  • SAP has always been using white and blue colour combination everywhere.Would love to see and added colour in the interface.
For me, SAP Ariba Procurement has me uploadong of my Monthly reimbursemnet bills from.my company a very easy and fast process. A process which took minimum 3 days earlier can now be done in maximum 2 days as the multi level approval has been made easy and end to end process is very fast and easy at all levels due to SAP Ariba Procurement.

We are using SAP Ariba Procurement for our IT and non IT procurement. It can be easily integrated with AD and other risk and compliance tools such as RSA Archer through API. We have customised it as per our need. This tool helping us in getting quotes from different vendors on a particular product or service and then we can accordingly select the vendor that fit our need. This product is helping us in managing our vendors effectively.
  • Vendor Evaluation and Onboarding.
  • Vendor Risk Management to meet internal policy compliance.
  • Easy integration with other GRC tools and reporting tools.
  • It is a very costly product.
  • Although it suport customusation but some out of box fields does not support it.
  • Reports and dashboard could be improved.
It is well suited for companies who deals with large number of vendors because it helps in negotiating better deals and track the spending on different category of vendors. It helps in establishing vendor metrics to evaluate their performance as well. It is less appropriate for orvanisation who deals with fixed vendors or less number of vendors.

Review on SBN.

We use SBN to collaborate with our direct and indirect suppliers on P2P transactions. It has helped to improve automation, increase visibility and reduce errors. We have found adoption issues with our suppliers in Europe. They are less familiar with the solution and less willing to go into a portal to transact with us. B2B integration is also a problem because most automotive suppliers are used to traditional EDI integration.
  • User-friendly UX.
  • Process standardization.
  • Visibility
  • Invoicing rules by county in Europe.
  • Improve communication between ECC and CIG.
  • Better support for suppliers.
Ariba SBN is well suited for indirect material suppliers, and basic invoicing processes such as US.

We use it for all our Procurement Processes right from when an internal purchase request is raised upto the final payment to the vendor.
All communications are made within SAP Ariba Procurement and also the tracking and expediting is done through this software.
Further, Cost control and tracking is easier and systematic.
The amount of time and resources saved is huge. Cycle times are reduced and th ewhole history of a procurement is available at press of a button.
I can easily say SAP Ariba Procurement has led to saving in Time and Cost.
  • Entire Purchase Process is managed at a single location.
  • Direct B2B connections and vendor base buildup is possible.
  • Cost Monitoring and control in a logical, scientific way.
  • Creates a huge database of procurement across the company which can be used for future procurement to achieve getting the best price through deft negotiations based on a database.
  • Sometimes the system is slow. Cant say whether due to software or the system we use.
  • Dashboards could be improved and made more easily customisable.
  • Direct linking of Project Procurement Schedule with the Procurement Cycle of SAP Ariba will be a big step forward.
SAP Ariba is well suited for complicated procurement processes requiring lot of inter department interfacinng and comments and reviews at every stage.
It is possible to maintain complete history of the procurement cycle and records inputs from all stakeholders- internal and external.
It automatically creates a to do function on the system of the person at whose desk any issue remains unresolved.

We own Sourcing and Contracts, B&I, SA. We also use Guided Buying.
We use it for Indirect spend
  • Keeps full P2P cycle documents within one application and easy to access
  • Has a complex variety of tools and options to build P2P process flows to fulfill organization's needs
  • It is flexible to be able to customize processes
  • Simple Service POs/POs to purchase services are not as easy to use and understand for inexperienced user
  • Overwhelming number of different scenarios of supplier connection via business network and lack of one good solid guide that would allow IT to use to solve issues. In many cases, we have to rely on trial and error methods.
  • Return to the previous page in B&I is not consistent for different types of documents. it can be OK, Done, Save, Close, Back...
It is well suited for large organizations with large amount of transactions where P2P processes and policies need to be defined and implemented in the system.
It is good tool for decentralized procurement where each user can submit requisition.
It is also good for power-buyers as it keeps all documents related to P2P transactions in one tool.

We use the buying & invoicing and Guided Buying modules of Ariba. We are a diverse company with multiple sites and business units across the company. Due to being a DOD contractor, we have a secure internet browser and have had constant GUI/usability issues. The system has been challenging for user adoption. We are only using Ariba for indirect procurement currently.
  • Allows for some customization
  • Ability to interface with S/4Hana
  • Cloud based
  • Overall system usability is poor; each button must be clicked multiple times for it to register
  • Out of the box functionality is limited
  • Customizations are expensive and cumbersome
Ariba B&I or Guided Buying would be useful for a small company with very basic procurement needs. The catalog functionality allows for quick procurement of standardized products. Ad-hoc procurement can get very complex and takes a long time for approvals to go through - not necessarily a system issue, but rather adoption.

For all our orders and invoicing we use SAP Ariba for all goods that we do purchase. It gives us a clear overview or insight of all our orders and invoices in the past so all our past orders are being tracked. It has assisted us to digitize things with all our suppliers. Managing budgets, supplies, processes, approvals, and payments is now an easy task with SAP Ariba.
  • Easy to track invoice progress.
  • Great tool for managing expenses with suppliers.
  • It provides easy access form anywhere at anytime.
  • User friendly and intuitive UI.
  • The continuous change in fee structure is what we dislike as we have to inform sellers of the changes.
Struggling with manual processing of invoices and orders, then SAP Ariba is the tool for you. I highly recommend the software for organizations looking for a smooth running of all orders and invoices. It is well suited for organizations looking to connect with global suppliers as it gives them a chance for growth.

We are a group of companies, and SAP Ariba is used in all the purchase process in all of them. We have a department that organises the purchases for all the companies. Before implementation, we had several applications for the process, and we had problems with the integration between these applications. With SAP Ariba we have substituted them for a unique application, where providers and internal users can manage the purchases for all the organization.
  • Web design. You need only a browser for accessing from public internet or inside the company
  • Processes are well defined for every case
  • Scalabitity
  • APIs for integration with legacy systems
  • More integration with other SAP functionalities
  • Ariba documentation must be more detailed
We needed integration with our legacy systems. We needed to send and receive files to/from them. SAP Ariba doesn't have any functionality to upload or download information. If you want to upload/download some information to SAP Ariba, you must use the API's functionality. But these APIs are not easy to use. They take a long time to be executed and in some cases, the documentation of them is not easy to find. You need SAP help to get your development working. It is not so easy as SAP S/4.
